Algy has been dressing performers since its formal start in 1937, and color guard has been a core part of that work since the sport came of age in the 1980s. Every guard style on this page is built in Algy's Florida factory and can be ordered in the colors that tell your show's story. You'll find full-length jumpsuits, tunics and tops, pants and shorts, dresses and matching male styles, so a whole line can look like one design.
Most programs start with a silhouette. Color guard jumpsuits give the cleanest line on the field and the floor, including one-leg and legging cuts. Tops and tunics pair with guard pants and shorts when you want to mix pieces or reuse bottoms from season to season. Guard dresses and demi skirt styles add movement for lyrical shows, and male color guard uniforms coordinate with the female designs. For indoor season, look at winter guard uniforms and indoor styles.
Guard designs on this page are described with the fabrics they use, most often lycra, plush (stretch velvet), mystique, micro sequin, mesh and velvet. Lycra and plush stretch with the body and keep their color under lights. Mystique and sequin add shine that reads from the top of the stands. Many styles say the design continues on the back or list accessories sold separately, so read the product description before you finalize a look. If you are unsure about a color, Algy sends fabric swatches free of charge.
Production times are listed on every product page. Most guard styles here show between 7 and 12 weeks, and a smaller group ships in about 4 weeks. Delivery is counted from the day Algy has everything needed to start: styles, sizes, colors and payment. Personalization such as rhinestones, tackle twill, transfers or embroidery adds about 2 weeks, and orders placed between July 1 and August 30 can take longer because it is the busiest season. Schools can pay with an official purchase order (net 30), and custom uniforms can start production with a 50% deposit. If your season starts sooner, check Quick Ship uniforms.
Complete the look with color guard flags, rifles, sabres and poles, gloves and guard shoes.
